It’s 8 degrees here in NYC, probably lower due to the wind chill factor…so I didn’t leave the house today, and so couldn’t film anything at the nearby botanic garden. Instead I used my *new* Flip camera to film what’s on my bookcase and my shelf full of ancestor photos. Now, filming is easy—uploading is not, and I can’t tell if that’s b/c of my slow DSL connection or what. But I *finally* got ONE short video uploaded to You Tube and here it is:
In other news, have you seen Avatar? It hit the billion-dollar mark this weekend, and yet I still have no real desire to see it. Ebony posted this interesting article on the Child_Lit listserv and I thought I’d share: When Will White People Stop Making Movies Like Avatar?
