I got several letters from the Walt Whitman School today, and thought I’d share this one…I love the part where she says she’d like to invite me to a cookout with her family!

“The very famous author.” Out of the mouths of babes. Listen to her. She knows what she’s talking about.
Love when you share about your interactions with kids.
well, the librarian at that school was very enthusiastic about my visit, and plastered the hallways with posters showing my picture–so I’ve no doubt the kids *did* think I was someone very important!
What a sweet letter, and she really seems to have learned something, too!
Which is nice to know, since that group was a little over-active and I wasn’t sure my message was getting through…
You are important. Embrace it. 🙂
And big kudos to that librarian, among the few really smart people who know and recognize what our children need.
where would we BE without librarians?!
that was beautiful, Zetta. she listened and learned and was so appreciative. thanks for sharing! Congrats!
