Did you know that Shadra accepted her CSK/John Steptoe Award for New Talent in Chicago yesterday?  I’m anxiously awaiting photos of the breakfast award ceremony, but in the meantime I’ll share a site created by one of my former students.  Nicky double majored in African American Studies and Philosophy, and for a course in the latter field wrote up a unit on how to use our picture book, Bird, to teach children about philosophy.  Check it out here.
